South Africa star and reigning African Inter-Club Player of the Year, Percy Tau has wished Nigeria all the best ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, final.

Nigeria beat South Africa 4-2 on penalties in the semifinal at the Stade de la Paix, Bouaké on Wednesday.

Tau had a good game against Ola Aina, who is arguably the best wing-back in the tournament.

The Bafana Bafana winger, who spoke to reporters in the mixed zone after the encounter regretted his country’s missed chances against the Super Eagles.

“It’s sad right now. It doesn’t matter how we played, it would have been nice if we won this one and we have the chances,” he said.

“Congratulations to Nigeria and all the best to them in the final. We’ll go again and try for the third place. Hopefully we will take something home.”
