Enyimba have completed the signing of Alalade Muyiwa Balogun from Nigeria National League side Smart City, DAILY POST reports.

Balogun joined the nine-time Nigeria Premier Football League champions on a six-month deal with an option for an extension.

His impressive performance for Smart City caught the eye of the NPFL champions.

He netted three goals last season and has already registered six goals this season.

The youngster turned down a big-money move to Rangers to join Finidi George’s side.

He is expected to rival Chijoke Mbaoma and Anthony Okachi for a place in the team.

Enyimba have continued to invest in youngsters as they hope to build a formidable squad for the future.
