Super Eagles wing-back, Ola Aina, has said that he expects full focus from Jose Peseiro’s side when they clash with either Cape Verde or South Africa in the semi-final of the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Aina said this while reacting to Super Eagles’ AFCON quarter-final 1-0 win over Angola on Friday.

Speaking to reporters in the mixed zone shortly after the game in Ivory Coast, the Nottingham Forest star also admitted that the Palancas Negras proved a tough nut to crack for Nigeria.

“We knew it was going to be a difficult game; I think so far it has been one of the hardest we have played just because we have had a lot of games where physically the boys have put a lot in,” Aina said.

On the expectations for the semifinals, the former Chelsea player added: “We are happy and looking forward to the semifinal. Full focus on that game now and hopefully we can get the result we want again.”
