Angola head coach, Pedro Goncalves says the Super Eagles deserved to beat his side, DAILY POST reports.

The Palancas Negras fell to a 1-0 defeat against the Super Eagles in their quarter-final clash at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium, Abidjan, on Friday night.

Ademola Lookman scored the winning goal for the Super Eagles four minutes before the break.

Goncalves’s side played second fiddle to the Super Eagles for the better part of the game.

The Portuguese conceded that the Super Eagles were more efficient than his team in the game.

“Nigeria deserved this win because they were more efficient than us in the final third. I congratulate Nigerians and their players,” Goncalves told reporters after the game.
