AS Roma legend, Francesco Totti has chosen late Diego Maradona ahead of Lionel Messi.
The former Italy international also chose Maradona ahead of himself.
Maradona is widely considered by many as the greatest footballer of all-time.
The Napoli legend helped Argentina to win the 1986 World Cup.
However, when Messi first broke into the Argentina team, he was hailed as the heir to Maradona’s throne in world football.
The Inter Miami forward fulfilled that prophecy in December 2022 as he also helped La Albiceleste to win another FIFA World Cup.
However, when recently asked to choose between Maradona and Messi, Totti simply said (via Cronache di Milan):
“Diego Maradona.”
