Real Madrid legend Toni Kroos has questioned the importance of the Ballon d’Or.

Kroos raised the question while affirming that Manchester City’s Rodri will win the 2024 Ballon d’Or tonight in Paris, France.

Rodri is all set to win the 2024 Ballon d’Or after it was reported that no Real Madrid representatives will be at Monday’s night event because Vinicius Jr. will not take home the prize.

This follows widespread speculation on social media that Rodri will win it ahead of Vinicius.

Providing his opinion on this year’s Ballon d’Or, Kroos said (via Fabrizio Romano): “Rodri will win the Ballon d’Or. I’ve never seen the importance of these individual awards in football; they have no place.”
