USA Forward, Mary Long had identified the strength of the Flamingos ahead of their quarter-final clash at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.

The Flamingos won all their three group games, scoring nine goals and conceding only once.

Saturday’s meeting at the CFC Stadium, Santiago de los Caballeros will be a repeat of their quarter-final clash two years ago in India.

Despite recognising the threat posed by their opponent, Long said they have what it takes to win the contest

“This is a super talented group of girls and it’s been fun so far in the tournament. We continue to work hard and play well as a team,” she told US Soccer.
“Nigeria is a good team, scored a lot of goals in this tournament, but I think we are ready if we stick to the game plan like we always do.”
