Andy Okpe has revealed the reason behind his decision not to play for Rivers United in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) this season.
Okpe said that the Pride of Rivers are blocking his move abroad with their demands.
DAILY POST recalls that the towering forward had numerous offers from South Africa at the end of last season.
Rivers United are reported to be demanding N2 billion before sanctioning the move.
“For those of you asking why am I not playing for Rivers United F. C. This season. They have been making it difficult for me to travel abroad and make good money,” Okpe revealed on X.
“I told them already I’m done playing for them. I worked hard to get to this level i am. They should accept the offer and let me go.”
