Super Eagles midfielder, Alex Iwobi says the team must stick to their game plan when they come up against the Palancas Negras of Angola on Friday.
Jose Peseiro’s men have conceded once in four games at the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.
The former champions have won a lot of admirers due to their resilient display.
Iwobi claimed it is important for the Super Eagles to maintain their style of play against Pedro Goncalves’ side.
“Both teams want to qualify for the semi-final. For us we have to attack and defend well as we have done in previous games. We want to qualify for the next stage of the competition,” Iwobi told a press on Thursday.
“It’s important for us to respect them (Angola). To get to this stage of the competition is a great achievement for them. They are a very good side with quality players.
“We have kept three clean sheets since the first game which is good for the team and we have scored goals as well.
“We must fight to win the game. All of us must give our best on the pitch.”
