Former Nigeria international, Victor Ikpeba is rooting for the Super Eagles to beat Libya in both legs of their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers
The Super Eagles will welcome the Mediterranean Knights to the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, on Friday before both teams clash again in Benina four days later.
Augustine Eguavoen’s men are in buoyant mood after securing four points from their opening two games in the qualifiers.
Ikpeba believed they would do the double over the North Africans.
The Super Eagles have what it takes to punish Libya in both legs,” Ikpeba said on Supersport TV programme Monday Night Football.
“You have to respect Libya, they will come down to defend with their lives and rely on counter attacks.
“They may be missing some key players, but we shouldn’t bother ourselves with what is going on with them.”
Friday’s encounter will kick-off at 5pm Nigeria time.
