Inter Milan manager, Simone Inzaghi, has ‘rejected’ the chance to join Manchester United during the international break, as the Premier League club considers replacing Erik ten Hag.
Despite signing a new contract in the summer, Ten Hag is facing the sack at Old Trafford, following another poor start to the season.
Inzaghi has impressed in his time in management, leading Lazio back to the Champions League before being hired by Inter.
He has since led the Nerazzurri to the Serie A title, two Coppa Italias and the final of the Champions League.
And according to SportItalia, senior officials from United approached Inzaghi about taking the helm but saw their efforts knocked back.
After the summer’s public search for a new manager before the FA Cup final fell flat, United will want to avoid any further uncertainty.
