Genoa have officially confirmed the signing of David Ankeye on a permanent deal, DAILY POST reports.

The Serie A club signed the Nigerian from Moldovan Super Liga outfit, Sheriff Tiraspol.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Genoa paid a fee in the region of €3m to secure Ankeye’s services.

The 21-year-old signed a three-and-a-half-year contract, which will run until the summer of 2028.

Ankeye will wear the No. 30 shirt at his new club.

The young forward has been in fine form in the Moldovan Super Liga this season.

Ankeye registered five goals in 13 league appearances for Sheriff Tiraspol.

He also featured for the club in the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League.
