Francis Uzoho is looking set to start for the Super Eagles in their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations quarter-final clash on Friday.
According to reports from Nigeria’s camp, Stanley Nwabali who started all four fixtures so far, is now recovering quickly enough from his knee problem.
Nwabali was forced off injured during the 2-0 victory over Cameroon in the last-16 encounter.
Uzoho replaced the Chippa United stopper for the last 10 minutes of that match.
And on Tuesday, OgaNla Media who is Ivory Coast tweeted: “Brace up guys,
“Stanley Nwabali might miss Friday’s game against Angola.
“It is also obvious Jose Peseiro will start Francis Uzoho ahead of Ojo Olorunleke.
“All we need to do right now is to support and encourage Nwabali’s replacement.”
