Victor Boniface has expressed his excitement after playing his first UEFA Champions League game for Bayer Leverkusen.

Boniface made his debut in the competition in Bayer Leverkusen’s 4-0 rout of Feyenoord at the Stadion Feyenoord, Rotterdam on Thursday night.

The 23-year-old was in action for 62 minutes in the encounter.

The Nigerian was replaced by Patrick Schick.

The forward recounted his early days in Akure, where he paid just 30 naira to watch Champions League matches at the 323 Army Barracks.

“From paying 30 Naira to watch champions league football for night back then for 323 army barrack Akure to playing my first champions league game. Proud of this moment,” he wrote on X.
