The international friendly between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and world champions, Argentina will now be played at the Guangdong Olympics Centre Stadium, China, DAILY POST reports.

The friendly was earlier scheduled to take place in Japan.

The encounter will however take place at a yet to be decided date in March.

The ground, also known as the Aoti Main Stadium, was opened in 2001.

The multi-purpose stadium has a capacity of 80, 012. It is the second largest stadium in China by seating capacity.

The Super Eagles will use the friendly to prepare for their 2026 FIFA World Cup double-header against South Africa and Benin Republic in June.

Jose Peseiro’s side have defeated Argentina just once in eight meetings.
