Falconets head coach, Chris Danjuma has said his team is battle-ready for their next opponent, Japan, DAILY POST reports.
Nigeria will take on the Asians in a Round of 16 clash at the Estadio Metropolitano de Techo in Bogota on Friday morning.
Japan topped Group E with nine points from three group games.
The Falconets on the other hand finished second in Group D behind Germany.
Danjuma’s side arrived in Bogota for the game on Tuesday with the gaffer declaring his team’s readiness to record a win.
“The girls have worked very hard to get to this stage and we are proud of their efforts. We will be taking the knockout stages one match at a time,” Danjuma told thenff.com.
“I must tell you that we are excited at the prospects of facing Japan and what that brings forth.”
