Super Eagles striker, Victor Boniface, has offered prayers to God as Nigeria takes on the Amavubi of Rwanda in a 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, qualifier on Tuesday afternoon.

Boniface prayed for God to ‘guide and protect’ the Super Eagles as they tackle Rwanda in Kigali.

The Bayer Leverkusen forward, who was included in the line-up against the host, took to his X account before the kick-off and wrote: “Lord guide and protect us.”

Boniface featured in Nigeria’s clash with Benin Republic last Saturday.

The 23-year-old was replaced by Victor Osimhen in the second half of the encounter at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium as Nigeria defeated Gernot Rohr’s side 3-0.

His teammates Ademola Lookman and Osimhen scored the goals for the Super Eagles.
