Nigeria will face Japan in the Round of 16 at the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, DAILY POST reports.

Japan confirmed their place in the knockout round after a 2-0 victory over Austria on Monday morning.

Maya Hijjikata scored both goals for the Japanese.

The Asians finished top of Group E ahead of Austria.

The Falconets came second in Group D behind former champions Germany.

The encounter with Japan will hold in Bogota on Thursday.
