At least eight countries have booked their place in the knock-out stage of the ongoing FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia.

The eight countries are Nigeria, Germany, Spain, USA, Brazil, France, Mexico and Colombia.

This follows Nigeria’s 4-0 win over Venezuela on Saturday and Germany’s 1-0 defeat to South Korea.

Recall that Nigeria’s Falconets booked a place in the second round of the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup after beating Venezuela.

Chris Danjuma’s side finished second in Group D behind leaders Germany.

The two countries recorded six points from three games but the Germans had a superior goal difference.

Meanwhile, Netherlands will take on North Korea later today, while Argentina will tackle Costa Rica.
