Super Eagles captain, William Troost-Ekong says the team is unfazed with the prospect of facing former manager, Gernot Rohr again.
Rohr masterminded Benin Republic’s historic 2-1 victory over the Super Eagles in June.
The Frenchman will be out to repeat the same feat when he leads the Cheetahs out in a 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying tie against their neighbours in Uyo on Saturday.
Troost-Ekong however declared the Super Eagles are not bothered with coming up against Rohr’s men again.
“We’re ready for the game, playing against Gernot Rohr, a coach that knows us very well, was with us up to five years but we’ll be ready for the game,” Troost-Ekong told reporters in Uyo.
The Al-Khaloood of Saudi player also emphasized the role of the players in achieving victory.
“I think it is our job. The coach adds to the team and organizes the team but the responsibility is the players,” Troost-Ekong added.
