Former Manchester United midfielder, Paul Scholes has named the club to challenge Manchester City for the Premier League title this season.

The former England midfielder reckons that Liverpool could be the club to go all out against Pep Guardiola’s untouchables.

Scholes said so after Liverpool dismantled his old club, Manchester United 3-0 at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Luis Diaz netted twice in the first with Mohamed Salah providing both assists.

Salah himself got on the scoresheet after the break.

Scholes said on Premier League Production, via sportskeeda.com, “There’s a real dominance by the Liverpool squad.

“They could really challenge for that (Premier League) title this year, even (after) three games in.

“Before a ball was kicked, I thought Arsenal might be there to give City a real go, possibly go on to win it.

“After watching the first three games, I think Liverpool could go past Arsenal.

“I think that’s a team that can challenge City, without a shadow of a doubt.”
