Gombe United have expressed confidence that their three-point deduction punishment will be overturned by the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

DAILY POST scooped that the Savannah Scorpions are awaiting the official announcement of their appeal by the (NPFL).

It could be recalled that Gombe United were handed a points deduction following the unruly behaviour of their fans during their matchday 17 clash against Rivers United at the Pantami Township Stadium.

Head coach Mohammed Baba Ganaru was also handed a three-match suspension.

Gombe United currently occupy 19th position on the NPFL table with 18 points.

They will be in action against Bayelsa United when the second round of the 2023-24 NPFL season begins.
