Former England goalkeeper, Paul Robinson, has branded goalkeeper, David Raya, a ‘spectator’ in the first half of Arsenal’s Premier League 2-0 win over Wolves on Saturday.

Raya was left with little to do in the opening 45 minutes with the Gunners heading into the break with a 1-0 lead, thanks to Kai Havertz’s goal.

The only moment in which Raya was properly called into action saw him produce a massive save.

The Spaniard stopped Jorgen Strand Larsen from scoring an equaliser.

Bukayo Saka eventually made it 2-0 in the second half to give Mikel Arteta’s side all three points against Wolves.

“Arsenal dominated the first half and were very dominant throughout most of the game,” Robinson told the BBC.

“David Raya was basically a spectator for the first half, which makes his save [from Strand-Larsen] even better.”
