Former Manchester United captain, Roy Keane, has identified a “problem” for the current team, after they lost the 2024 Community Shield on penalties to Manchester City.

United thought they had won the game after Alejandro Garnacho’s late goal.

But City equalised at the death and emerged victorious after a tense penalty shootout.

Keane told ITV: “Manchester United’s squad is pretty strong but the problem is they pick up a lot of injuries.

“If they keep most players fit, then I’d be pretty upbeat for the start of the season.

“If you were Erik ten Hag, you’d be upbeat, on the evidence of that.”
