Nigeria’s hope of winning a medal at the ongoing 2024 Olympic Games was further dashed after Tobi Amusan failed to secure a place in the final of the women’s 100m hurdles.
Amusan finished third in the semi-final missing out on automatic qualification.
The 27-year-old also finished 9th overall in the final standings.
The world record holder was one of the favourites to win gold medal in the event.
The Ogun-State born athlete made it to the final three years in Tokyo.
She is however still looking for her first medal in the Olympics.
