Chelsea are assessing potential replacements should their midfielder, Conor Gallagher, leave the club this summer transfer window.

Sky Sports reports that one of several options the Blues are keen on is Celtic’s Matt O’Riley.

O’Riley has also been the subject of bids from Serie A side Atalanta this summer.

Gallagher is set to join Atletico Madrid, who have agreed a £34 million deal with Chelsea for his signature.

The England star has been told he will only be a squad player under manager Enzo Maresca.

Talks are continuing between Gallagher and Chelsea this weekend to find a solution to his future at Stamford Bridge.
