Leicester City manager Enzo Maresca has confirmed Wilfred Ndidi is set for a spell on the sidelines.

Ndidi is currently sidelined with a muscular problem.

The midfielder has already been ruled out of representing Nigeria at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

The 26-year-old could also now miss some months of City’s domestic campaign too.

“Probably for Wilf, it will be a long time,” Maresca told reporters.

“It could be three months. It looks like a muscular problem, but an important one, so we will see in the next hours but the situation for Wilf is probably the clearest one.”
