Football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Manchester City have reached an agreement to sign Christian McFarlane from Major League Soccer side New York City FC.

Romano disclosed this in a tweet via his X account on Monday.

According to him, the 17-year-old left-back rejected the likes of Brighton and some German clubs to join the Premier League champions.

“Understand Man City are closing in on deal to sign Christian McFarlane from NYCFC, agreement now done.

“McFarlane has rejected bids from Brighton and German clubs for Man City.

“Another huge signing for Man City Academy, first Cavan Suvillian and now Christian McFarlane.”
