Debutant Fatima Bello has been eliminated from the 2024 Olympic Games after a comprehensive defeat to Jia Nan Yuan of France on Monday.

Bello lost the table tennis women’s singles Round of 64 contest 4-0 (1-11, 3-11, 3-11, 5-11).

She struggled to cope with her opponent’s Swiftness and precision.

Her exit ended Team Nigeria’s hope of winning a medal in the table tennis event.

Aruna Quadri, Olajide Omotayo, and Effiong Edem have all exited the competition.

Since the inception of table tennis at the 1988 Olympics, this is the first time that no Nigerian table tennis player registered at least one win.
