Ashleigh Plumptre has showered encomium on the Super Falcons despite the team’s defeat to Spain.

The Super Falcons put up a resolute display against the world champions but ended up losing the game 1-0.

Barcelona Femeni star, Alexia Putellas scored the winning goal in the 86th minute.

Plumptre, who missed out of the Olympics due to injury, was full of praises for her teammates.

“This team knows how to defend – sheesh!
Good fight @NGSuper_Falcons – proud to watch ,” the Al-Ittihad of Saudi Arabia defender wrote on X.

The Super Falcons will take on Japan in their last group game on Wednesday.
