Toni Payne has bragged that the Super Falcons are ready for battle against world champions, Spain, DAILY POST reports.

Payne and her teamates will face a stiff test when they confront La Roja in a 2024 Olympic Games women’s football event encounter at the Stade de la Beaujoire, Nantes on Sunday (today).

Randy Waldrum’s side lost their opening fixture against Brazil 1-0.

The nine-time African champions must avoid defeat against Spain to have any chance of making it to the quarter-finals.

Payne insisted the Super Falcons have what it takes to compete with their illustrious opponents.

“We can compete with anyone. One of the things we work on most with Randy Waldrum is tactics, being organised, getting used to playing together, unifying everyone’s style,” Payne told Spanish sports daily AS.
