Brazil goalkeeper, Lorena has expressed satisfaction with her country’s victory over the Super Falcons of Nigeria.

The Samba Girls defeated the Super Falcons 1-0 in their opening Group C fixture at the 2024 Olympic Games on Thursday night.

Gabi Nunes scored the decisive goal in the 37th minute.

Lorena put up an impressive performance in the game, denying Chiwendu Ihezuo, Christy Ucheibe and Rasheedat Ajibade from hitting the target.

“Brazil is very prepared. Arthur is doing an excellent job and we are very prepared,” the goalie was quoted by FIFA.com.

“We could all see today how strong the group is, and Nigeria is a difficult team, but we deserved to win.

“Our squad is united and we will always battle for first place.”
