Trabzonspor President, Ertugul Dogan has revealed that the club could be forced to look elsewhere if they fail to reach agreement with Southampton for Paul Onuachu.
Onuachu impressed during his loan stint with the Black Sea Storm last season.
The Nigeria international scored 17 goals across all competitions.
Trabzonspor are keen to sign him on a permanent transfer but have not been able to meet Southampton’s valuation.
The Saints, according to reports want at least €9 million to sell the Nigeria international.
Dogan stated that they are prepared to move to their plan B anytime soon.
“His family also loved the city very much. He repeated that he wanted to stay. The club slowly came down in numbers. Hopefully, we want to finish this work next week,” Dogan was quoted by Sports Witness UK.
“The process progresses positively, but if not, there is a plan B. He wasn’t on the agenda, but he is an important centre-forward. We can have both. He is also a known name in the world.”
