El-Kanemi Warriors technical adviser, Aliyu Zubairu has thumbed up the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, board.

Zubairu commended the financial incentives and the synchronized schedule aligning with other leagues.

He urged football authorities to elevate the standards of stadium facilities in the country.

“It is disconcerting that only a solitary stadium meets CAF’s standards for Champions League fixtures,” the former Gombe United tactician told a cross section of the media in Ilorin.

“This serves as a poignant indication of underlying issues that we must address.”

El-Kanemi Warriors will take part in the CAF Confederation Cup next season.

The Borno Army are billed to take on Beninoise side Dadje FC in the preliminary round of the competition.
