Leny Yoro will be able to continue wearing his favoured number 15 shirt after completing his transfer from Lille to Manchester United.

United confirmed Yoro’s arrival on Thursday, after they agreed a £52m deal with the Ligue 1 side.

Yoro took the no.33 shirt when he made his Lille debut at 16.

But the 18-year-old switched to no.15 ahead of the 2022/2023 season.

Yoro will not have to ask any current United players for the number. Sergio Reguilon wore no.15 for the Red Devils last season during his loan spell.

Reguilon has now returned to Brentford after the deal was cut short in January.

The number 15 shirt at Old Trafford is arguably most closely associated with Nemanja Vidic. More recently, the likes of Adnan Januzaj and Andreas Pereira have worn it for United.
