Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Ince has backed Middlesbrough to qualify for the EFL Cup final when they face Chelsea in the semi-final second tie on Tuesday night.

Chelsea had lost 1-0 in the first leg earlier this month.

The Blues will hope to turn the table around when they host the Championship club at Stamford Bridge tonight in the return leg.

Speaking about Chelsea’s EFL Cup semi-final second-leg clash with Middlesbrough, Ince said (via Mirror): “Hopefully, fingers crossed, they [Middlesbrough] can get to the final. It is possible; there is no reason why they can’t do it [against Chelsea].”

The kick-off time for the match is 9 pm.
