Manuel Akanji was the only player who missed from 12 yards as England confirmed their place in the final four for a second consecutive tournament.
Gareth Southgate’s men will now face either The Netherlands or Turkey for a place in next Sunday’s final.
France play Spain in the other semi-final match.
