Former Barcelona star Rivaldo has urged the club to do everything within the rules to sign Nico Williams.

The youngster has displayed stellar performances at the ongoing Euro 2024 tournament.

Williams has scored one goal and provided one assist for La Furia Roja in Germany.

Barcelona are said to be one of the clubs looking at acquiring the services of the Athletic Bilbao winger, who has a release clause of €58 million.

Rivaldo, a Ballon d’Or winner and Barcelona icon, wants his former club to take advantage of such an opportunity by signing Williams this summer.

Rivaldo said, according to SPORT, “Given the cost of his release clause and everything he has been doing, I think it is a very reasonable value.

“He is a player who has stood out with his performances at Athletic Club this season and now he is doing incredibly well with Spain at the European Championship.

“He has everything to succeed at FC Barcelona, the club has to consider him,”
