Kenneth Omeruo is expecting a difficult contest against the Djurtus of Guinea-Bissau at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations.
Jose Peseiro’s side will take on the Djurtus at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium, Abidjan, on Monday.
Guinea-Bissau are winless in the competition and are not expected to pose much of a problem for the Super Eagles.
Omeruo is however not thinking along that direction and has warned his teammates not to take Baciro Cande’s side for granted.
“It’s going to be an interesting game. We know Guinea-Bissau very well having faced them in the qualifiers,” Omeruo told a press conference in Abidjan.
“It’s not going to be an easy game. A lot of people have predicted that we are going to beat them but we are not thinking that way.
“We are going to approach the game with seriousness. Like the coach said, we have to keep taking it one game at a time.
“We must not go into the game thinking that we are going to beat them. That will not help us at all.”
