Niger Tornadoes head coach Majin Mohammed has blamed missed chances for his team’s defeat against Heartland.

The Ikon Allah Boys suffered a 1-0 defeat against Heartland at the Dan Anyiam Stadium on Saturday.

Chukwudi Esobe scored the winning goal for the home team.

“So far, so good, we had our chances but failed to take them,” he stated in a post-match interview.

“As far as the league is concerned, Niger Tornadoes aren’t safe from relegation as it is still tight down there.

“All we need to do is take all the maximum points in our final home game against Sunshine Stars next weekend.”

Niger Tornadoes are 12th on the table with 48 points from 37 games.
