Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa has said the team will continue fighting on the pitch, DAILY POST reports.
The Eagles claimed a 1-0 win against hosts, Cote d’Ivoire in their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations Group A contest on Thursday.
The win boosted their chances of securing a place in the Round of 16.
Jose Peseiro’s men also silenced critics who predicted an early exit for them in the competition.
Musa posited that the Super Eagles will continue doing their talking on the pitch rather than reply critics.
“We are going to be talking on the pitch as you can see against Ivory Coast where we did one of the talkings on the pitch.
“We will continue to do that till the final on February 11 so that we go back to Nigeria very happy,” Musa told NFF TV.
“We will keep on doing our best to make Nigeria proud. Once again, we are sending our thanks to Nigerians the way they supported us with their prayers. So we say, thank you very much.”
The Super Eagles will file out against the Djurtus of Guinea-Bissau in their last group game next week Monday.
A draw will be enough for them to confirm their place in the Round of 16.
