Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro, has singled out Ademola Lookman and Samuel Chukwueze for praise following the hard-fought 1-0 victory against Cote d’Ivoire.
The two wingers combined their offensive and defensive duties admirably in the game.
Peseiro eulogised the duo for their sacrifice in the encounter.
“We have a strategy on how we wanted to play the game against Cote d’Ivoire. I must praise the players for making it work,” the gaffer told a post match press conference attended by DAILY POST.
“Without the players it would have been difficult to carry out our plans. They are the ones who make everything work.
“Chukwueze and Lookman sacrificed a lot in the game. They worked hard to support the defence.
“They are players who love to attack but helped the defence a lot which contributed to our victory.”
