Real Madrid winger, Vinicius Jr, is moving ever closer to winning the Ballon d’Or award.
The 23-year-old is considered to be one of the frontrunners for the prize this year, along with his current team-mate Jude Bellingham and future team-mate, Kylian Mbappe.
However, on Saturday night, Vinicius stepped out in front of the queue, as Los Blancos won the Champions League for the 15th time.
Although the Brazilian did not have his best game, he found himself on the scoresheet, adding to Dani Carvajal’s opening goal nine minutes later.
It was his second goal in a Champions League final and 24th in all competitions for the season.
Once mocked and jeered at for his penchant for missing when it mattered, Vinicius is making a reputation for being a big-game player.
