Remo Stars technical adviser Daniel Ogunmodede has rubbished claims that midfielder Jide Fatokun’s absence was responsible for his team’s defeat against Kwara United.

Ogunmodede said that the entire team played to expectations in the keenly contested encounter.

The young tactician revealed that the team was not built around a single player.

Fatokun missed the encounter due to a minor injury.

“Jide is a vital player for us, but those who played also did well; they lived up to expectations,” he told the media.

“I salute their courage to do what they did. Jide, for us, is an important player, but I don’t build my team around a singular player. It’s a team work; it’s meant for the group and for an individual.”
