Nigeria defender Leon Balogun has signed a new one-year contract with Rangers, DAILY POST reports.

Balogun, 35, rejoined the Light Blues for a second stint last summer and was set to be out of contract at the Ibrox this summer.

The experienced centre-back will now remain at the Scottish Premiership outfit for at least one more season.

The former Brighton & Hove Albion player won over manager Philippe Clement with his performances this season.

Balogun started Rangers’ Scottish Cup final defeat to Celtic last Saturday.
