Ivory Coast midfielder, Seko Fofana has warned Nigeria’s Super Eagles that his team is ready to face them when both sides clash on Thursday evening at the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Fofana, who scored the tournament’s first goal last Sunday against Guinea-Bissau, noted that it would be up for Ivory Coast to work hard for victory against the Super Eagles.

Speaking to CAF’s official website, the Al-Nassr star stated: “I know how decisive this match is, Nigeria wants to win this match and they are a very big opponent.

“We are ready, there is no doubt about that. It will be up to us to approach the match and work hard for a victory.”

Ivory Coast currently top Group A with three points after one game, while Nigeria are in third position with one point.

The kick-off time for the match is 6:00 pm, Nigerian time.
