Manchester United defender, Harry Maguire has expressed his disappointment after manager, Erik ten Hag confirmed he would miss the Red Devils’ FA Cup final clash with Manchester City on Saturday.
Maguire last appeared for United in their 1-1 draw against Burnley at Old Trafford, having been sidelined for the final five Premier League matches due to a groin injury.
The 31-year-old England international had fought his way back into United’s starting lineup this season, and his absence will be keenly felt by Ten Hag, especially with the club grappling with numerous defensive injuries.
Recently, Casemiro has been deployed as an emergency centre-back, and the Brazilian is likely to continue in this role at Wembley.
Maguire shared his frustration on Instagram, stating, “Gutted I’ll be missing the final.
“I would do anything to be available but now fully focused on supporting the boys. Come on United!”
