Ex-Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand, has predicted this weekend’s FA Cup final between his former club and Manchester City.
According to him, he has “no confidence” in United’s chances of beating their city rivals.
Ferdinand believes it will take a “crazy effort” to beat the Premier League champions.
The Red Devils finished a difficult campaign in eighth place – their worst ever finish of the Premier League era.
On the other hand, City clinched their fourth straight title on the last day of the season.
Previewing the clash on the FIVE YouTube channel, Ferdinand said: “Based on what I’ve seen this season from both sides, Manchester City and Manchester United, I’ve got no confidence, I have to say.
“It’s the first time I’m going to a cup final with Man United and thinking that we have a very, very, very, very small chance of winning this game.
“The gap between Man United and City now is at its biggest that it has ever been. The fall off that we’ve had compared to them right now is huge so how can I, in my right mind, go into this game with any sort of confidence?”
