Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets will be desperate to win their first game at the WAFU B U-17 Championship when they face Niger Republic at the University Stadium on Sunday.

Manu Garba’s side were held to a 0-0 draw by Burkina Faso in their first game at the same ground on Thursday.

The defending champions observed Friday as rest day but were back in training on Saturday to prepare for their next game.

Niger came out tops 3-2 in their first game against Benin Republic to move top of Group B.

The Golden Eaglets must beat the Nigeriens to boost their chances of securing a place in the semi-finals.

Burkina Faso and Benin will also clash in the other Group B encounter also on Sunday.
