Cote d’Ivoire forward Sebastien Haller remains doubtful for the hosts’ Group B clash with the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

Haller missed the Elephants’ opening day win against the Djurtus of Guinea-Bissau due to injury.

Cote d’Ivoire head coach Jean -Louis Gasset provided an update on the Borussia Dortmund star’s fitness level during his interaction with the media on Wednesday.

“Haller is recovering well, as well as he should, in his situation,” Gasset said.

“We shall assess his progress and make a judgement, on match fitness, at the appropriate time.”

Cote d’Ivoire will tackle the Super Eagles at the Alassanne Quattara Stadium, Ebimpe, Abidjan on Thursday.

Victory in the game will see the host nation claim a place in the Round of 16.
